All food at once.
We have just returned from our fantastic holiday at WDW. While we were there we ate at T'rex, Rainforest, Boathouse and other Disney restaurants. All fantastic food but we were a little annoyed at the fact that no sooner had the server brought out you starter, they were bringing out your main course. Apart from not having much room on the table, the main course getting cold while we ate our starters. We were on holiday at WDW the same time last year but did not encounter this then. Any one else experienced this or know any reason why?

Being on the dining plan we tend not to get starters but I wonder if it's just a cultural thing as the US customers don't want to linger over meals. I know that's why they tend to bring your bill early.

Not had this at Disney but have read of it being pretty standard in the US. Americans will order an appetiser to eat while they choose their entree. If you order both at once, they assume you want both!
Either ask for a break between courses, or don't order your main until your starter arrives.

It is how it is in the US.
If you don't want it to happen order your starter/appetiser first and then your server will come back round to get your Mains/Entree order a little later. That's how they do it. When in Rome, and all that..
