Family Film recommendations please!
Hi
Saturday night is movie night and we are struggling to agree on films to watch. We end up spending half an hour arguing over what to watch🙄 Myself, husband and a 12 year old boy. We have watched all the usual - Disney (of course ), Superheroes, Harry Potters, Hunger Games, Fast and Furious, Jim Carey, Will Smith, Dwayne Johnson But we are struggling... DS seems to think he should be able to watch films that aren't suitable like Bad Education as he thinks Jack Whitehall is hilarious and The inbetweeners. So we are looking to for films that are not too rude but don't mind a bit of movie violence... can you help? So I challenge you to find us some films to watch please... save our Saturday nights 😂 |

We’re addicted to The Greatest Showman. It is a musical but it was my hubby who watched it on the plane then made me watch it last Saturday so definitely not just one for the girls.

Family type movies: Maze Runner films. Jurassic Park films
Slightly more adult, with mild violence but not sex: Die Hard movies. |

Any 80’s one’s suitable? We did ones like flight of the navigator, war games, weird science, back to the future, the goonies, karate kid (old and new)big (not as family friendly as we thought) etc at that age and then moved on to things like the brat pack films, top gun etc.
Just talked to my husband and he said we also started tv comedy shows at that age. Any box sets that you could work through? The new jumangi was good or how about mild disaster movies? Things like Independence Day or the day after tomorrow. Men in black? Mission impossible? Mine also liked some of the Adam Sandler movies. Edited at 06:04 PM. |

One of my favourite movies is The Hit Mans Bodyguard , ( Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson ) it's hilarious , unfortunately it's a 15 , there's a fair bit of swearing in it , it's one for you to consider in the near future
