I'm really into Gin at the moment

The Bombay Sapphire & Palma Violet are my favourites.

LIDL's Rhubarb and Ginger gin, an absolute bargain at £12 for a bottle, it's lovely, tastes the same as Edinburghs Rhubarb and Ginger.

Bloom's Strawberry Gin is nice and refreshing as is Gordons Mixed Berry.

The ones I didn't think much of are the Turkish Delight gin, Whitley Neill's Quince, Whitley Neill Orange, Greenall's Mixed berry, Gordons Sloe and Hendricks gin.

I have a few I have not tried yet:-
Whitley Neill Raspberry, Sipsmith's Lemon Drizzle & Sloe Gin, Star of Bombay & finally Asda's own make Pink Gin.

That reads like a list of all those fruit-flavoured ciders that seem to have been created for people who don't really like cider!

Just something different from the 'normal' gin.

The 'fruity' ones are more of a liqueur really anyway.

I must admit I only drink the fruity ciders too as I prefer them to original ciders. Not that I drink much cider as it doesn't agree with me.

Have a look at Batch from Burnley. They have some really quirky ones, including Absinthe, Buddha’s Hand (oriental spiced) and Whinberry.

Eden Mill is lovely. They have lots of different seasonal versions many of which are good but the original is very good.

edenmill/core-gin-c-8

Caorunn has been mentioned already as has Harris Gin. Both also very good.

I quite like Rock Rose Gin too.

A good gin for me has to be accompanied by a good tonic.

Gin wise my favourites are Twisted Nose which is great with Elderfower tonic, Seadog and Hendricks.

And the correct garnish too.

I hate getting served gin with either no or the wrong garnish in it.

My recommendation for gin?

Tip it down the sink.

Eaurgh! (not a gin fan, in case you hadn't noticed!)
