Cash back - how does it work?
Have heard a lot of talk about cash back sites on here but have never used them...
I can see the two main ones are topcashback and quidco. Do you just use the one which gives the best deal for the website you are using at the time? For example, topcashback give 3.5% on flight+hotel bookings on expedia, whilst quidco give 5%. Would you just use quidco in this circumstance or is there pros/cons for each one? I've noticed topcashback says "cashback normally tracks to your account within a day of you making your purchase, and then once the retailer has confirmed your purchase and passed the commission to us, we’ll mark your cashback as ‘payable’ so that you can withdraw it" whilst quidco says "your cashback will not be confirmed until 8-12 weeks after your stay has taken place" - does this mean you get it straight away with topcashback but would have to wait with quidco? UPDATE: Have noticed topcashback in small print also says cashback won't be paid until 30 - 60 days after the stay! So they are similar after all. Thanks!

They are very much alike. I've used TopCashBack for a couple of years now and its earned me enough to buy our Universal tickets outright.
You head to the TCB site the search out the retailer you want EG I booked our Disney stay via Disney but did a search through the site, I earned £144 booking through them. I only used it for things I would be buying anyway eg if I want anything off Ebay, I'll search for it via TCB. I only started using it after our August 2016 holiday and I just let the money accummilate, I've earned over £900 since then. When I was ready to buy my Universal tickets I got my " earning's " payed into my account via BACS. So easy, I'd highly recommend. |

I use quidco whenever I can. Usually use it for a holiday treat and probably get about £300 a year. Just be careful and price things up direct first as sometimes the prices are more going through quidco. The best earners for me are changing utilities and insurances.

Simply put in search engine, e.g., ”quidco explained”, bondy.

My son just booked Discovery Cove plus 3 seaworld parks, universal 3 day explorer for 4 people through quidco then Expedia and earned £245 cashback. The tickets through Expedia were quite compeitive. Not sure how long before it’s payable but as the tickets are non refundable hopefully it will be within 6 weeks.
