Ryanair Options
I'm getting a bit nervous about our planned trip to Greece (Kefalonia) in 3 weeks. I just think it's very possible that it'll be added to the Amber plus list which would mean we can't go as we can't afford to isolate on return.
Getting through to Ryanair to discuss options is just a pain in the proverbial! I'm hoping someone here might have been been through the process or know the options. As I see it, I get to change the flights as long as I go to the same destination before end of the year? Trouble with that is Flights to Kefalonia are pretty sparse at Half Term and stop completely at the end of October. So basically that leaves us with sticking with our current dates. Is there no way out of this without losing our money (apart from them cancelling the flights and refunding us)? I'd be happy to move to next summer but I don't think that's an option. We are insured with Staysure and I have no idea if they would cover us if Greece became Amber plus. Edited at 11:13 AM. |

Hi
We cancelled our trip to kefalonia which we were supposed to go on a few weeks ago. We had flights with Ryanair. You can change to another destination but it has to be this year. We therefore booked Tenerife as the weather is better in October. I think I read somewhere that you can change your flight only twice, I do wish they would extend into next year in case we have to cancel again, but I'm sure they probably won't. We had extra legroom seats and luggage booked as extras and these were all carried forward to the new flights. You dont get any money back if your new flight is cheaper tho, so may as well go somewhere that is roughly what you have already paid. Hope that helps a bit. 😊

As above you can definitely change destination as I was Corfu and am now in Lanzarote. If you are changing destination it has to be by Dec 31st as I read it and you can have 2 amendment fee free changes.
