We stayed on a farm in Muirkirk for the weekend and had a little wander around Ayr and the highest village in Scotland!
Some beautiful scenery, we have been around the coast here a few times so a few new places-really loved Crawick Multiverse and would definitely come back when it’s cooler as we couldn’t walk all around as it was getting to hot for little miss p. Thankfully the traffic wasn’t crazy although it did look busier heading towards the coast. We drove through Fort William last year on our way home from Orkney, so beautiful but the roads were insane especially since we had pretty much cruised up to Scrabster on the way up with pretty much no traffic on the road! |

That’s what happens when we all can’t leave the island 😂. I’d really like to go on the Jacobite train at some point. Would you recommend it?
Aww, how times change😂. At least there are loads of great dog friendly places these days.

My wife said she would, my son and I stayed in the caravan and ate fish and chips She said she enjoyed it because the weather and scenery was amazing and it was so relaxing, and obviously our youngest loved it because they're a huge Harry Potter fan.
She says first class is well worth the money, if you do go make sure you sit on the left hand side of the train travelling there/right hand side returning as it will give you thee best views and if you order an afternoon tea one between 2 is more than enough. I can vouch for the afternoon tea as they brought their leftovers home for us and the scones were huge! |

Thank your wife for the tips. I’d love to do the train journey and the afternoon tea.
