Old Town Naples
Original Tommy Bahamas Tropical Cafe always good. Lowdermilk Beach. Naples Pier. The local 'council run' waterpark is worth half a day. Trip up to Corkscrew Swamp and the outlets close by- one of best outlet malls you'll go to. Trip to Marco. Try Tigertail beach. Wade across the lake from the car park to get to the beach quicker- perfectly safe. Can have a drive up to Sanibel and Ft Myers Naples Zoo. Edited at 10:37 PM. |

We did the trolley tour in naples, boat trip looking at millionaires houses, shopping in a mall, and generally chilled out.

We have a couple of weeks booked for Naples in October, hopefully we can go. Been there before quite a few times but not for a while. We like Sanibel and especially Captiva Island. In Naples the City Dock restaurant was good and the Cove Inn does great breakfasts in their coffee shop. Tin City is worth a potter and the boat trips around the bay are good. Highlight is the pier at sunset to look for dolphins.

We love Naples (our most favourite place in Florida) and as mentioned by other posters, the zoo, beach (amazing!) pier, shopping and fab restaurants kept us busy. We always stay at Inn on Fifth, which is beautiful and not far to the beach. In Fort Lauderdale we visited Bonnet House Gardens and Museum - this was amazing, we also did a boat tour of the local waterways, which was great, there was a lot of seaweed so the beach was’t as nice a Naples but we still enjoyed it. We stayed at the Sonesta in Fort Lauderdale which had incredible sea views from the rooms.
Fort Lauderdale Naples Beach We can’t wait to get back to Naples next year! |
