It really doesn't look dissimilar to how the promo photos look, except that you can see the top turret of the castle as this has already been completed. I think they've done quite a good job at hiding the ongoing work but still showing what the castle looks like. They've also put some sleeping beauty artwork on the barriers in fantasyland behind the castle. It's a no win situation for them really, but since they can't do fireworks and nighttime shows it's been a great time for this scheduled refurb.

They did something similar in 2011 for a refurb. We took our friends, and DH explained to their kids that Aurora had the painters in.

Cue collapse of the dad who realised what that phrase also means…

I am there early Jan, circumstances allowing. Would be good if it's done by then...
