I would say indirect via Lille is far easier than flying.
The first time we went via Lille we didn’t even have to change platforms. So easy. And when we got to DLP no need to bother about transfers. For me, that is the huge plus. The train pulls in and you are right there.

Yeah have done it before. Flying does get you there earlier and with a taxi ride to the hotel it's not so bad. The only thing now to also take into consideration is going from St Pancras only and the hassle and cost of driving into London and parking etc.
