Help booking a resort please
Hi, only stayed onsite once and that was the first time we went many years ago. At that time we booked everything through a travel agent. What is the cheapest way to book a resort and fights these days?
Thanks in advance x |

We book each bit separately but have done package holidays to Florida previously - I like to be able to change up things though as our plans changed so like that flexibility. We book flights via American Airlines, BA or virgin (whoever is cheapest) I use the skyscanner website for pricing as well as direct on those sites. For car hire we use Andy at DFCH and previously US Rentacar, for hotels sometimes direct sometimes check Trivago for good rates. We booked Universal hotel this year via Travel republic and Disney via Orlando Attractions. Basically I think it's all about a lot of research! Good luck!

The internet makes it much easier to DIY and just do everything separately but just how you want it. If you are unsure there are TAs who specialise in Florida some advertise on here so give them a call. You can also mix it up a bit and do a 'package light' where you get your flights, car hire and a night or two in a hotel as a package with a TA, or direct with BA or virgin and then book the extra hotel nights and maybe split stay through their websites or trivago/booking/expedia etc.
What are your plans for this holiday? a lot of us on here have quite convoluted plans as we know just what we want and like to split trips across different hotels/areas. However there is a lot to be said for keeping it simple and just use a TA if that is what you feel most comfortable with. |
