FCDO advice for Spain (Menorca) right now

Can anyone please clarify what the FCDO travel advice is for Spain (specifically Menorca) right now please?

I'm looking on the official gov.uk travel advice website but I just can't see what I'm looking for. I was expecting to see something about "non essential travel" or words to that effect. But it just says a general thing at the top about "you should not travel to red list countries".

I want to book an annual insurance policy today and want to make sure Spain is ok to travel to at the moment and is not listed as "essential travel only" as at today's date.

Can anyone help please? I'm probably just not seeing it! Thanks

Assume you've checked this site?

gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain

You need to click a few links

Absolutely, that's the site I've been using. I've read everything and can see no mention of "essential travel only" For comparison I looked at Italy which says "The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the whole of Italy based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks." But there is nothing like this when I look at Spain. So I'm thinking maybe it has changed as is ok for non essential travel now?

It's all a bit confusing. And I want to make sure I don't buy insurance if its not ok to travel, just in case it invalidates the policy.

You could look at staysure who offer an add-on for European travel which covers you regardless of the FCDO advice, then it’s not an issue.
But to answer your question I think if that wording in bold is not at the top of the gov page then there is no FCDO non essential travel advice in place - agree though that the website is not that user friendly.

Yes I think you're right about the wording in bold not being there.

I've had a good look at Staysure and it looks very promising so think I'll be going for that. Thanks

We had flights to the Canaries today (I was working at the airport) and they would have been cancelled if the FCDO advice was no non-essential travel.
