DVC Member Cruise - Oct 2019 - New York

the streets around Broadway seemed very familiar even though it was our first time in New York. Like moths to a flame we headed towards Times Square - busy but not heaving. Iconic sights everywhere, like being in a movie.
Started feeling hungry, all the smells around made it impossible to do otherwise.
I had a quick look on my phone and picked out Heartland Brewery as a target. Was busy at the bar (great happy hour deals) so we had a table. Standard fayre and a taster board of 7 beers for me, wife had a pumpkin ale/cider concoction. Nothing outstanding, solid beers, quality medium cooked burger for me and tasty meatloaf for my wife. Very reasonable price at $70 including tip.
Out into the streets again we fancied using 1 of our 3 attraction tickets on the Go App with a night time bus tour. In the queue just round the corner and on the bus, upstairs of course, all sorted by scanning the app in the queue.
Big Bus Tour was informative and fun, it did get a bit cold over the Manhattan Bridge but we were prepared with warm coats.
Night tour was a great way to see the sights and get a bearing on where we were and where we'd go again.
At the end of the tour we decided to take a slow stroll back and make an early start the next day.

Up early on cruise day, put out luggage into the hotel storage and hit Juniors for breakfast. Great choice, not expensive and very popular. Fuelled we hit the Rockefeller Centre for Top of the Rock, again on our Go App.
Stunning views from the top, blue skies and every sight you could think of except a view of the Disney Magic.

Really enjoyed this, bit fo a walk around the Ice Rink area and a meandering walk back to the hotel to take a cab to the ship.

We thought the Heartland Brewery was excellent value given the location.

You did a lot in the time you had The views from Top of the Rock are amazing aren’t they!

Stunning view. That was on the Friday, 11,000 visitors. On Wednesday they had zero visibility and at total of 300 visitors!
