I’ve had many a sore wrist after hitting myself with these.
My parents brought my brother and I some of these to take on holiday with us when were young

We both probably have the bruises to prove it !

I remain convinced, that collecting these gave me a wide knowledge of a number of subjects. On the basis that you knew each card, what it did or what it looked like, but most importantly you knew lots about the card or cards you were missing!

Anyone for swapsies?

One of the local shops had a fag machine on the outside wall

It wouldn't last 5 minutes today.

Remember cap guns or shouting pew pew when you ran out of caps

Pew pew. LOL yep

My friends and I were convinced that when we grew up we would have a horse stud farm, we did ride a lot back then. The local riding stables paid us nothing to muck out stables, groom horses etc just so we could ride them down to the field to be turned out over night. When not riding we had brooms which we would ride around the streets on rounding up horses, creating jumps and singing... on white horses snowy white horses... or the theme tunes to folllyfoot farm and black beauty... happy days

Used to buy from the joke shop...in the city was a massive joke shop with all sorts of stuff, fake dog Pooh, fart powder, sweets that turned your mouth blue...

Anyway, snappits, lobbed on out of the upper floor math class once, only for the wind to blow it back into the ckassroom! Unfortunately it went off and the teacher literally threw me out of class (via door not window) - so win win really! Amazingly, that wasn't first time I got thrown out, in my final year and still got top marks (hope my class mates did, apart from the one I had stand up fisty cuffs with mid lessson!).
