you were not dreaming
Avis have changed that in their Terms&Conditions, but the Sunpass page has not been updated yet to reflect that change.

avis/en/products-and...es/avis-e-toll

click on "Florida" button

f you use the e-Toll service at any time during your rental, you agree to pay a convenience fee of $5.95 for each day on which you incur a toll up to a maximum amount of $29.75 per rental period (not to exceed 30 days). In addition, you will pay all tolls incurred at the maximum prevailing non-discounted or cash rates posted by the toll authority.

you can now also purchase the unlimited toll scheme, for $11.99 flat per day (included tolls themselves)

sunpass site also does not reflect that option

I thought that at 74 my memory had gone but good to see that it's still working away nicely

That $11.99 daily fee looks attractive if you intend driving round the 408, 417, 429 box all day every day.

If I don't "see" you on here tomorrow perhaps I should say a metaphorical au revoir at 11 pm tomorrow - but no political comments please

Mick

It does not matter if the Channel breaks open and we're separated

we all share common grounds and homes, on the other side of the Pond

So long as we can still buy Camembert and Brie and the occasional nice Bordeaux.

I see that they have changed to daily charge on toll usage days, it used to be per rental day, so if you went thro one toll you were charged for every rental day.

true

they seem to have taken alamo's and dollar's toll scheme, put them in a shaker, added some salt, and poured a cocktail out of it

Long live the VTP - beyond July - and add TPA & SFB to the available airports
