I presume aa is American Airlines? Aer Lingus is about 4,200 for us direct.

Yea sorry AA - American Airlines. I used Skyscanner to search. Aer Lingus had black Flyday sale on with 100eur off North American flights so it came in at 3300eur. I have never flown direct before so usually pay about 2300eur. The 8 and a half hour flight to Charlotte nearly drove the kids insane so I don't know how we would all cope on a direct flight. (I know it's not too much longer direct but the short stop over was a godsend..)

Aerlingus do sales in jan, going by the last few years i've got the email around 21st Dec for the sales. Not sure how much will come off, but one thing for sure is that they never go down much only up more.

Direct is just so expensive, esp with 6 in the family, almost 4,500 with bags.

So our dates are around 4,000 euros direct. Do you think Aer Lingus January sales ( usually released around 21st dec ) will bring it down?
