What a beautiful, scenic place Monterey is with its rugged coastline and quaint buildings. Gorgeous houses overlooking the ocean too.
It was such a bucket list item for me, I couldn't believe we were seeing them in the wild!
Monterey is simply stunning, the coastline especially. It would be amazing to rent a house overlooking the ocean but will have to wait until our numbers come in on the Lotto

Ahh what a lovely day you had.
Firstly seeing the whales, such a fab experience and then lots of great sight seeing.
Looking through your pics has brought back lots of memories

Seeing whales in the wild has always been on my bucket list so I couldn't believe it when we did!
I'm so pleased reading my report is bringing back memories, I've loved reliving them myself

I'm so jealous you're going back to Monterey
It's so unbelievably expensive, we well and truly blew our budget with our one. There were definitely some cheaper ones on there that had only one bedroom, I can highly recommend the area it had such a local neighbourhood feel to it

Another brilliant day. Whale watching is a great experience isn’t it, but agree you definitely need seasickness tablets. 🤢

Love your photos of your walk. The coastline is truly spectacular.

I’m also glad you’re going back for your passports. At least you’ll be able to relax once you have them.

Loved, loved, loved the Whale Watching! I suffer terribly with my balance so I knew I had to take the tablets, I seem to remember you suffering with motion too?

That part of the coast is just stunning, miles and miles of unspoilt land.

I felt so relieved once I'd made my mind up!

How amazing that you were able to see whales on your trip DH and DS do not have sea legs, so I really feel for Sam.

It looks like you made the most of the walking paths along the coastline- truly stunning. Monterey is very picturesque too. Another lovely but busy day

I felt so incredibly lucky that we saw whales, there's always that risk you won't see any!
Honestly teenagers think they know best don't they, he won't make that mistake again
Monterey is a lovely town, we'll definitely go back one day to explore some more. In fact this whole holiday was like a tester pot in trying new places for us to revisit another time
