Question Where should we eat our first night?

Hey! We're a couple in our thirties. This is going to be our fourth trip with the DDP so we're trying to branch out to some new places. I had originally thought Artists Point for our first meal, as I'd read some good reviews of it. However, DH read some not so good reviews recently and is now thinking of 'Ohana instead. I thought this was an odd choice, as we usually prefer more quiet places, but he seems really keen.

I know one is 2 credits and one 1, but there's some flexibility in the rest of our plans so that's not really a problem.

So where would you pick?

TBH neither We normally just get a QS meal & take it back to our room. For years we would have a "special" first night meal, but realised that actually after travelling all day & our bodies still on GMT, we weren't enjoying them. Now QS & pool time.

Of your 2: Ohana you will be in & out in under 60 mins, we thought that it was just meh. AP more leisurely, food is better quality but it wouldn't be our first pick for a Signature.

I agree with the neither choice as well especially as it looks like you are staying at SSR. I would be eating at the resort or choosing somewhere at DS. I loved Artist Point but wouldn't choose a signature for arrival night. We always needed something to eat not a special dining experience.

I vote 'neither' too for arrival night. I think you'd be much better off popping over to Disney Springs and eating at one of the QS places like Wolkfgang Puck, Blaze, The Polite Pig etc. Save the TS/signature meals for another day when you'll enjoy them more as won't be tired from a long day of travelling.

Neither, 'Ohana is awful and Artist Point is also getting hit and miss reviews. I would go for GF Cafe or the Wave if you want something it that area.

We usually just do QS as are very tired by the time we get to Disney. If we were looking for TS we would go for GF cafe on the monorail loop.
