intermediate SUV is the smallest SUV category (also known as midsize SUV)

then you have standard, and then you have fullsize (then premium)

so if you are used to a fullsize SUV, the intermediate is 2 categories down

Intermediate in the past for me have been the uk Ford kuga Kia Sportage or Hyundai Tuscan Mazda CX-5 Nissan quashai
While the standard ones have been Ford Edge Ford Explorer (think this may be higher class now) Hyundai Santa Fe Kia sorrento. If I’m honest I tend to stay away from the Korean stuff as I like to try American cars while out there. Last few trips we’ve always book standard and I’ve had GMC Arcadia Dodge Journey (not a good car) Nissan x trail Ford Explorer x2. I tend to find the standard suv a better option pack inside if that makes sense they all seem to have better equipment but maybe I’ve just fallen lucky as I like my cars I tend to walk down the aisle at Alamo and ensure i get one with everything in it
