What do you love about Christmas?
Following on from the things you don’t like, what do you LOVE?
Me; I love how churches are decorated with soft glowing candles, love the Christmas carols and the magical feeling that church has made over the festive period. I love the good old Christmas songs that blast out in the shops & radio, they take me right back to my childhood. I love turning up at my mums on Christmas Day (although it will never be the same without my dad) sewing the decorated table and eating Christmas dinner (even though my mum is a dreadful cook) I love seeing my children’s faces on Christmas morning ... priceless |

I love all the lights on houses but mostly having a few days off work and spending time with the family.

I love the smell of my Christmas tree when I come down in the morning, seeing everyone’s outdoor decorations and having some well needed time off work spending it with all my loved ones over the week

I love the lights everywhere. In big cities and small villages to peoples windows. Love them.
As I get older I’m more and more involved in the community and this morning at the PTA run Xmas fair (which has been going for years) we added a Santa Breakfast before hand which was hard work but we brought it in for £7per child so made it very affordable for all the families in school. Unfortunately there was only room for 32 children but even so, the experience at the price was amazing for children and their parents pockets! These are the things I really love. |

I prefer the build up to actual Christmas Day, Boxing Day is fun with a big buffet and all the family. I used to love all the Christmas plays and fetes but my kids are all grown up now. Looking forward to seeing London all lit up next week and watching my little doggy opening her presents. Sitting around watching a film all together when it cozy and warm is lovely too!

I love seeing my grandchildren’s faces on Christmas Eve when they’re so excited for Santa (I still have 5 true believers)... and all the Christmas traditions... cards, lights, decorations, carols, Santa, food... and all the memories I have...

I love the cold crisp mornings (as long as i'm not out in it too long!). I love looking at all the trees & decorations as I walk to & from school each day.
I actually love the planning & shopping part, all the Christmas music & food, the carol services and school plays (even though they are hard work to organise). I love the fact that people are generally more considerate towards each other and join in the festive spirit. This year our Nurture group at school is displaying it's own 'emotions' tree at a local churches Christmas Tree Festival (they hold it every year and lots of local groups display their own trees). Can't wait to visit this year. |
