When I travelled with BA I notified them as I am partly deaf. My boarding pass actually had it stamped on it. I lip read all the time and the whole mask wearing has been so difficult when trying to hear others. My daughter will often tell me what�s being said or answer for me.
I would recommend telling the airline and as others have stated wear a lanyard if you have one, hopefully it will help. X
