We are going up on wednesday to look at all the accommodations he fancies.

Looking for somewhere to get lunch in the town centre.. anywhere you recommend, he likes burgers/pizza.

Depends what you like, "We don't give a fork" are pretty decent a sort of home-grown five guys. They are down near the Home Bargains area of town.

All the obvious chains are there also, the really are only two streets and they are pretty much parallel to each other.

I spend my time when not in the office out at the Marriott (which does excellent burgers) and there are some decent pubs out there that do really good food.

We paid for my sons house for a while term he was at home following lockdown and we’ve paid his summer retainer for his house this year and he hasn’t even got the keys yet. Uni acc is a major gravy train. We’ve just paid DDs deposit for Uni of York. I wouldn’t want her to miss out. I am hopeful of a vaccine every day.

Oh that’s a small world then! My daughter is Going into Langwith College. Very melancholy for me as I joined Wentworth College in 1989. Can’t wait to have an excuse to spend future weekends back there 😍

There are a bunch of 2 bed flats (probably steer clear of the high rises) on Rightmove tonight within half a mile of the station in Preston for around £80k

If you've got £12.5k for the deposit and the credit to take out a mortgage you could look to buy them a flat, the repayments over 25 years are around £320 p/m so rent out the other room for £350 p/m and your kid lives their for free.

If our's was going to a UNI town with cheaper housing stock it's exactly what we'd be doing
