There is a Premier Inn not too far away which depending on when you are going probably wouldn't be too much per room.

Thistle Heathrow. Short walk across the car park for the pod ride to T5.

Pod is fun, and the Thistle is a nice hotel.
However, Pod is quite pricey, (it was £5 each when we used it) and tends not to run occasionally (wasn’t running at the beginning of October).
A couple of times we’ve had to take the shuttle when it wasn’t operating.

You can get some good prices at the Premier Inn by T4, then grab the tube to T5.

Used the premier inn at T4 and used the free tube service between the terminals.

Another 👍 for PI T4
As well as walking to T4 and using rail you can get a free bus to T5 from directly outside the hotel

Have also used travelodge T5 and paid for transfers

Premier Inns are perfectly functional of course, and occasionally we have stayed in one.

For the night before a holiday, however, we like to stay somewhere with a few more frills. Holidays are a special time, and it's nice to kick things off on the right foot.

We chanced upon the Hilton Terminal 5, via Holiday Extras, and it's been our choice for a few trips when flying out of LHR.

It's actually outside the M25, but only just, and checking my Uber app - it only cost £10.72 to take us to the airport when we stayed there ahead of a trip to Orlando in February. The Heathrow Hoppa bus thing stops there too, although we've never used it.

It has good eating and drinking options, the rooms are lovely and if you drive you can leave your car in their car park.

Direct link here >>> hilton/en/hotels/lhr...rt-terminal-5/ - although I think we've always used Holiday Extras before.

We find that the Premier Inn Bath Lane is best for us

WE stay at the Premier Inn, Bath Road. Nice and close, you know what you’re getting, bar, restaurant and Costa onsite. Room we had booked for Christmas was £29! Refund was quick and easy and no hassle.
