I kind of agree with this. I have sat many a time thinking that the person reaching over me to put their bags up aren’t strong enough. And the hoo ha at times when getting off with people having to squeeze the wrong way up the aisle to get their bags as there wasn’t room directly above them.
I’ve thought for a while there are too many big bags in the lockers. I understand the charging issues though when people are keeping the costs as low as they can.

It should be the same price as putting a bag in ‘hold’ to help prevent the chaos when people enter and exit the plane

Received my email about the change in baggage fees too . To be honest I think it’s fair enough. Ryanair have done it for a while. It will make boarding quicker and easier. We have been offered the free hands free service but we were lucky to get hold case for 99p anyway.

When I have used hands free previously it all went in the hold and collected via the carousel.

the people who pay for the large bag will put them in there.

I would still put my case up there if possible though

You have always had to be able to lift your own bag into the overhead bins on EasyJet, if you could not do it then it was supposed to go into the hold.

It’s when the checked bags “seat” is more expensive than mine that I have a problem with it.
