Well, chilling in our pool, floating around in a Cabana Bay Beach resort tube, sipping some cocktail in a Margaritaville tumbler, listening to a Winter Haven radio station over the internet.

I knew all those "souvenirs" we brought back would come in handy some day.

(still, I need to go back)
Sounds like you're making the best of French lockdown.

We live in Rugby where the school is where that guy picked the ball up while playing soccer.

It usually gets to 30 here as well most days - Fahrenheit.

Our glasses for November change daily between half full and half empty when we read the news coming out of Florida - if you have that optimism/pessimism saying over there.

le verre à moitié vide ou à moitié plein
sure, we do have this saying. Unlike many other sayings, this one is a direct translation between english and french

If you are looking at BA, I’d look at adding at least one night hotel and/or a car. This moves it to BA holidays which is often cheaper, allows you to just pay a deposit and gives package holiday protections.

I’d also look at Delta flights. Often virgin planes but cheaper. I was very impressed with them last year. We had a few issues with delays and their app was excellent. Kept us informed and allowed us to make changes on the app with no charge.

In my 16 years experience on here there's lots of added value from a bit of helpful and good natured thread digression.

I would also suggest adding a car or 1 night accommodation with BA as PP said - it makes it a package and allows a deposit to be paid, rather than the full amount. If you’re travelling with under 12s BA do allocate seats for free around 5 days before the flight. We have found BA the cheapest for us over the last 6 years. Also, their car insurance is fully inclusive, with no additional costs.

If you haven’t already, join the BA exec club - you can collect avios, which can be used towards flights, seats, hotels, experiences etc.

Thank you, does that mean as we will be travelling with 6 children (3 under 12's) that we don't need to pre book seats) x

If it’s all on the same booking, seats for the entire party get allocated around 5 days before travel. We were always allocated 4 seats in the middle, so always sat together.
