Day13 (Home Time) Highs And Lows - The Chilled One
Today we spent a bit of time around the pool, had a wander round the shops and a 2nd visit to La Sandwicherie before heading back to the airport. Highs La Sandwicherie was fab again beautiful fresh baguettes can't recommend this enough for a quick lunch in Miami. Miami airport check in was easy and a lot quicker than at Heathrow then we headed off security to be called through past the queue because we had children in our party I knew at some point there has to be a plus side to having kids! Then we had time for a look round duty free before a bite to eat we were boarded and off on time. American Airlines the flight home was good, staff were friendly service was good, food wasn't brilliant but we didn't starve a few new movies on there as it is now September and we all managed to get some sleep which was a bonus. Lows There was a lot of drunk homeless people around Miami and it was a bit scary for the kids one was shouting and swearing as we went past. We've all agreed as much as we liked Miami it's not really some where for young kids. Driving out of Miami was chaos we half expected it as we were leaving at 4.30 on a Friday evening it took around 45 minutes to get to the airport which wasn't too bad but the roads were so busy it was hard to get in the correct lane and you had to have your wits about you. The major low was the fact we were going home, we all agreed it's been an amazing holiday we've spent a fortune but it was worth every penny and none of us wanted to come home. Our friends want to do orlando next time with a trip to the keys, I'm thinking we do a few nights on site at Disney and then International drive. I want to do all the Disney parks with Roo again before he gets too old for the magic whether that will be 2017 or 2018 we will see! |

Thanks for sharing your holiday high's and low's each day. We're hoping to go in 2018 with our DS and his family, can't wait to take my grand-daughter for her first time.
