|
Of course we will!
Its the same wherever you go!
So yes definitely, things change and we just accept them. Would it put us off having the time of our life? Hell no, we save like crazy, my dh and I will still be going when the kids have left home and we're pensioners!

Don't joke! We're both 60 this year and love going on our own - in fact DH is having his birthday at MVMCP!

to be honest, I go to Orlando purely for Disney and Universal nothing else about the place interests me. I'm not the kind of person who likes to park their backside on the beach all day just to look like a lobster at the end of 2 weeks that's boring to me.
Disney is one of my biggest passions, so I will always return finances permitting because the way I look at it: why work all those hours (I usually work between 9 & 12hrs a day, and start between 4am & 6am) just to survive... I want to LIVE, and if a holiday for 2 weeks to Disney is what soothes my soul then I will always find a way to do it. even if that means saving for a couple years each time. I think it's so easy to sit there and gripe about the cost of admission to the parks, but when you factor in what you get for your money in terms of rides, shows, fireworks & Parades as well as the service from the cast members and the overall atmosphere of a Disney park. I'd rather pay £280 for 2 weeks of park tickets which include 4 main parks and 2 water parks and the option to park hop than I would £47 to go to Alton Towers for a day! (£25 if you have BOGOF vouchers) it all boils down to a good business model... if you never increase your prices, but the costs of running and maintaining the business increase then you're going to be in real trouble pretty soon. I mean, I know people are complaining about the $3 increase in parking BUT have you ever seen such a well maintained car park? no potholes, no rubbish strewn about, friendly cast members around to help and a tram service to take you to/from your parking zone. we just don't get that in this country! also staff wages have to be paid and in some cases increase due to cost of living, so yes I will keep going to Disney and I will keep loving every moment of it

We did our first family trip this August and definitely want to go again. We will visit Disney as we all enjoyed it. We wouldn't spend as long in the parks as this time and some things we will skip but our DD loved it so much, we have to go back. I'll be looking to save on whatever I can by choosing tickets more wisely and trying DIY but we have to go again and make the most of holidaying as a family and losing ourselves in the magic. Once isn't enough!

$3 extra per day for those that have to park is peanuts .. That's only ~£25 extra for a 2 week holiday!
Come on guys, get some perspective here. |

I voted no but only because I'm not going on our next trip because I decided to spend the money it would cost for Disney tickets, on DC etc.
But I'll go back on my next trip (whenever that may be). Prices increase. I'll save more.

We're going on our first trip this year, so again don't have anything to compare it to. Yes it's expensive but it is what it is, if you're happy to pay it, pay it, if you're not, then don't. I used to be able to go to my parents place in Spain and eat breakfast out, drinks and meals for the 4 of us every night, and spend £700 a week, last year, we spent £1000 in a week, doing the exact same thin and eating at the same restaurants, so it's not just Florida where prices have increased.
