We paid £1800 about 5 years ago. Large four bed house and garage.
We got a local guy to do it. But we had several quotations from the big national firms and they were over twice this cost. And they used the same materials from the same supplier!

Someone recently quoted me £9k! These prices seem good to me.

There is a company in Stoke advertising 3 bed semi for £995!

A quick look on Wickes suggests the materials would be less than £300.

This was our quote about a year ago. Large 4 bed detached, no scaffolding, used ladders. Also replaced all guttering. Old fascia were rotten so ripped out and replaced. Very pleased with the work.

£1654

I wouldn't waste my money putting UPVC soffits on if the wooden ones are fine. I probably last painted my wooden soffits about 8-10 years ago and they still look fine.

Wow this is a good quote, were you happy with the work, 2 quotes so far £2900 and £3500.

You can work out (approximately) what a decent price would be.
Calculate how many meters you need of gutter, fascia and soffits. And the number of downspouts.
Contact a local supplier and get a rough materials cost.
The job (without scaffold) might take two person days - say £600 or whatever you think. Our 4 bed and garage was done in 2 days by one guy.

When I was doing my renovation in 2018, I price checked this. Full retail prices (2 years old) without any negotiation were (5m lengths)
Soffit £9.80 and Fascias £17.64 - both plus VAT.
There is no doubt that I could have saved on these, but I was only price checking to check I wasn't being ripped off.

UPVC is relatively cheap. Look fior a local merchant that sells upvc to the trade and public. Go in and ask for a bit of advice. You will also find a traders board in the shop with builders and companies who leave their details. I recently had my gutters and down pipes done in deep flow guttering. No the fascias or soffit. The cost front and back plus porch was about £750. That was for 24 m of deepflow and 3 down pipes.
They originally charged me £200 for scaffolding but turned up and used ladders. I asked for my £200 back.
Make sure they remove all old fascia and soffit boards and rotten timber.
It’s also a good idea to get quotes from pvc window companies on the high street local to your area. Walk away from ant company who give you a price and then offers to ring the office for a big discount. Remember get at least 4 quotes. Get deepflow gutters and substantial fascias. Loads of YouTube videos about good quality material.
