Does anyone know how long Magic Bands last for?
Searched on here for this and can't find it but hopefully someone on here does. Does anyone know how long Magic Bands last for? We got ours at Disney on 2nd Dec 2017 and are going back this September. Just wondering whether the originals will still work or will we have to buy fresh new ones?

The entry and FP+ part will always work as that doesnt have a battery.
What might not work is the long range automatic Photopass. But it still might as the batteries last 2 to 3 years. |

We have had ours since Feb 2014 and they still work on everything except the photos on the rides.

Sorry to jump on your post OP I am in the same situation - if the battery is dead am I right in saying if we scan our magic band at the ride photo kiosk we can link it that way?

We got ours October 2019 and going back October 2021, if they still work for fast pass tempted just to buy one new one for the photos. |

You will find some of the standard colours match up to the premium magic bands. So if your battery dies, you can get the puck out your new one and put it in your favourite old one.
