Flights from Southampton?
Hi, I am rubbish at finding deals etc so always book a package but my friend is flying to Chicago next month going from our local airport (Southampton) via Dublin which got me thinking about flights for our return to Disney next year!
Question, is it possible / has anyone flown to MCO from Southampton via Dublin?

If you check Skyscanner it does show as Southampton to Dublin on Flybe then Aer Lingus to MCO.
You could also try Virgin Atlantic with Flybe to Manchester and then VA to MCO.

I was nosey about this as my brother lives in Eastleigh. Put our dates (20/8 -2/09 this year) and the following Virgin deals ( prices checked on Virgin website) came up ( 2 adults 1 8 yr old)
1900 ish return economy lite via Manchester 2200 ish return economy classic via Manchester So definitely doable and just a case of frequently checking I suppose.

Interesting, we used to live 10 mins walk from Southampton airport and never thought of doing this opposed to flying direct from London. I wonder if you would save time overall especially as you can do pre clearance immigration IIRC from Dublin. We now live about 30 mins away so still definitely doable although would need to pay for car parking now.

The convenience is just so tempting! We wouldn’t have to worry about parking, an overnight hotel, falling asleep at the wheel on the way home, it’s just a case of working out how much £££ that convenience is worth

I haven't but my mum and grandma did on a trip to/from Boston. They did preclearance at Dublin.
They said the only annoying thing was sitting around Dublin airport - they were just ready to be home! |
