Our weekend in Dublin
Spending time with friends who own the villa across
the street but we rarely meet up
Enjoying the views over a very wild wet coast from there home on the coast and a wind swept walk along the beach with there Irish Terriers and Wolf Hounds
Amazing food and meeting the girls boyfriends they were all very little girls the first time we met
San Francisco amazing
We couldn’t have picked a better location for us in Nob Hill we walked over 40 miles in 3 days and cycled the golden gate gate bridge explored china Town not just the tourist bit had an amazing meal in a tiny mom and pop restaurant
Alcatraz
Mind blowing for us both me and don’t laugh I knew
Around 70 families lived on the Island but didn’t appreciate the community or the gardens for me the most interesting bit
DH how bleak an existence it must have been and we visited on Avery calm day and the currents were fierce if you looked
Weather perfect
Hawaii
Can’t fault a Hawaiian airlines even in economy plenty food soft drinks and coffee and for a DH great leg room
We are in a condo not our first choice but the beache house we booked was sold and new owners not renting
It’s fine but small but better equipment than some we’ve stayed in in a Florida
We’ve walked or used the hire bikes that are everywhere you put your money in pick up the bike and basically dump it at your destination or park it and use it to get back to pick up point
Our oddest experience ( yes I’m sad I cook on holiday ) Walmart sells no fresh meat Target a very very limited range you can easily spot the tourist looking for the meat / fish counter
The people are so friendly and helpful
I had a moment ( moment got a bit dehydrated walking back from Walmart) out side someone’s house. Theladycame out with a chair and water and offered to take us back to our condo
One niggle the electronic lock on the condo door
Same as the one in the villa needed battery’s no back up key 15 minutes and DH needed to go before the MC appeared me I couldn’t have cared less but made us glad we have a key safe as back up
Flat battery were the issue DH fixed it in 2 minutes with his holiday screw driver
Magnum helicopter flight doors off tomorrow ( Saturday) watch this space

We are and we know it’s not everyone’s choice
We’ve been down to the beach but for me beach is dogs and wellies
It’s beautiful but crowded
We will return to SF and Hawaii which the kids find odd as we both hated Las Vegas and I mean hated me much more than DH
DS2 and DIL had a great wedding day but not for them that’s for surev

Yes it is but it’s scoring off the bucket list stuff some of which are mind some Ian’s some both of us
And after the last few months and I think seems many more to come
We do need a break

Had to smile at the supermarket thing, I was shocked at how expensive fresh veggies were I recall a floret of broccoli was around £5 last visit!
