So, for what I understand about RoR you have to get to the park early and frantically press the app at 8:00am and hope you get a boarding pass?
If this is correct, then how can you book any fast passes for the day on other rides if you don't know whether or when you'll get a boarding slot for RoR until the morning of your visit to the park?

When we finally got our boarding group after the third attempt we got called around 12 with fps for Smugglers Run from 12.25. The cast member told us we’d be done in time but also said if you are called during or very close to your fp slot to do the fp first as they can be more flexible with the boarding groups than the fps. Also they are currently giving two hour time slots for boarding groups. Go ahead and book your fps for when you can get them and if they overlap check in with a cast member to see what the current advice is

If you are in HS and have FP, then FP is a 1hr window, BG 2hr window so you should be able to manage it whatever. IF you miss one or the other due to mechanical failure then I'm sure a CM will sort it for you.

If you are in another park then the fun begins to prioritise and move parks, I suspect you will need to wave your FP goodbye. Personally if I have FoP or other must do FP, those will not be the days I try for a BG first.

Since when? It was two hours on Wednesday last week. It seems they might have tested a few one hour slots a few weeks ago but reverted to two hours

It’s so stressful and tiring trying to get the pass! But the ride is really worth it - it’s amazing!

I have looked at the ride on You Tube. It's quite a show. What time should one go to Hollywood Studios? On You tube people seem to be getting there for 6:30. But I don't think they open the app until 8:00am to book an RoR slot.

My understanding is that you don't need to get there quite so early - just early enough to go through security etc so you're ready to hit the app, inside the park, at 8am (or whenever the park opens on that day)

Absolutely no advantage to being there really early. as long as you are in the park with your finger on the button at parking opening you have exactly the same chance as someone who has been standing there for an hour or more.
