Mobile Bum bag, bag search

Might be an obvious question but are small bum/hip bags subject to bag search queue? Don't fancy joining a long (ish) bag check queue if I've only got a small bum bag.

Cheers all.

Is bag search generally long? We go in August, and will be hitting the parks early before it gets too hot.

I know it’s “how long is a piece of string” but I’m trying to work out if I want to take a bag.

Are we talking generally 15 minutes or less or are we talking 30 mins.

Any experience of August bag check.

If you can fit it in a bum bag can you not maybe fit it in your pockets?

Honestly it's more like 5 or walk through most of the time. It pretty much just depends on if you hit a load of bus arrivals at the same time.

That's what I'm thinking If bag search takes a while.

Have 2 ad 2 teens

Each can have own bum bag, but maybe not Everyone loading pockets.

We visited in August 2018, the 3 of us had a bumbag each. It didn't take long 5-10 mins. Try to pick the queue where there is no buggy or pram - they have to search underneath and in the storage part and they often have larger rucksacks to put all the bits you need with a baby/toddler.

Queues can be a pain, I also avoid the prams/buggies.

Sometimes we take a smallish shopping bag in my shorts pocket, along with small purse and phone etc. We carry our water bottles and ponchos (if needed), then go through no bag queue. Once through, we'll get the bag out to put the water bottles in and other bits. It's works for AK and HS in particular, when you want to get ahead!
