Have used them since they started - never once had a problem with them. Always helpful if you ring and easy to use online banking. I would definitely recommend them.

I moved from HSBC to FD, as an ex HSBC employee I would thoroughly recommend First Direct as they actually listen to you, look after their customer and will help you.

Same as above, I’ve banked with them for 12 years and have never had anything but a good experience with them. Even when things have gone wrong they’ve dealt with it swiftly and to my satisfaction

My OH has a first direct account and has for years, it's also who we have our mortgage with and everyday credit card. Whenever he rings them up they answer pretty much instantly and uk based, Leeds based I think whixh is good cos they understand his broad yorkshire lol.

I used to work there and they are indeed based in Leeds. They may or may not still have a Scottish base but when that happened calls were routed to your closest venue unless waiting times were high.

Apparently Leeds was chosen originally as the Yorkshire Accent is ‘trustworthy’ (who knew!).

I no longer bank there but enjoyed the time I did (although it was a tad boring and repetitive) but there was always plenty of staff available to deal with whatever problems arose.

Been with them for years ,never had any problems and recently moved my mortgage over to them,they've always been polite and helpful on the rare occas0ive had to call .
