Couple of pics of Smugglers run from this evening

So we’ve just back from Galaxy’s Edge.
The theming is fantastic - no queue to actually get into the land itself.

Wait time for Smugglers Run was posted at 75mins at 8.35pm. We got in the queue and it took a total of 2 hours to queue and get off the ride.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t blown away by the ride. We were in purple and given the Engineer role.
Really confusing loading area and we weren’t sure where to stand. Cast members didn’t direct us so ended up standing where people were queuing to take photos at the “chess” table.

The ride itself was ok - think if we had been given the pilot role that would have made such a difference!
Then we all weren’t sure how to get out! No CM to direct us, it ended up being a lift to get out. Nearly went out the emergency exit.

Few pics;
Start of queue under the Falcon.

Outdoor queue

Going inside from the outdoor queue.

Indoor ramps queue.

Pre show instructions.

Ride entrance.

In the Falcon! Each ride takes 6 people. Engineers sit at the back.

Thanks for pictures, I am really not sure about this ride, definitely not going to be queuing for it.

Is it just luck of the draw whether you get pilot or engineer?
Pictures look good though

Great pictures. Shame the ride is disappointing after spending so much on it.

We went on opening day - 14 year old son was a pilot, 17 year old son and dh were gunners and 9 year old son and myself were engineers. It was a nice ride but not worth standing for hours upon hours (it was 75 minutes when we went but we used my sons DAS to sit in the shade and go back).

Yes I think so - there’s also a gunner role.
Pilots sit at the front, gunners behind and engineers behind that.
We were on with a family of four who had already ridden it earlier in the day. So they did say to the CM could they be pilots. So I guess if you don’t mind waiting longer you could ask.
It is a good ride, and we didn’t “crash” so we must have done something correct as engineers!

Yes we enjoyed it, and glad we did it on the opening week. Just enjoyed the theming and walking around the area better.
Looks like being the pilot role is the best one to have!

What’s the ride actually like? I keep thinking it will be like mission space
