Any news on Thomas cook flights to or from UK. Been on their website and it’s informing people to rebook in their hotel if possible and claim back reasonable costs when they get you home.

we are now rebooked on a flight home to manchester on 5th :-) direct flight suits us fine. 2 extra days :-)

We are here and were due to fly this evening at 18:15 back to Manchester.
Received an email this evening saying TC can confirm today’s flight will now be flying at 8am US time on Friday. So gota be at MCO no later than 5am.
There’s a table of flights on their main website page.
Edited to say, yes hopefully TC are paying for the extra nights in the hotel and possibly some meals. We are flight only though and not a package with them.

So gota ring around again to sort 2 schools, work, Manchester parking, hertz car hire and the hotel.
At least we are getting updated and are safe.

Both VS27P and VS15P flew to Atlanta yesterday empty as positioning flights (hence the P after the flight number) so that as soon as MCO opens, it's only a short hop from ATL and then these 2 flights PLUS VS73 and VS27 from today can get people home to the UK.


According to MCO departures, both VS16,28,74 & 76 are running, albeit with delays.

We’ve just found out that we are departing MCO at 7:50pm today, should have been yesterday - that’s the good news. Bad news is they’ve split us all up and DS is now all alone, I’m guessing we won’t be the only ones and hopefully they cab do some changing about of seating at the airport.

Just arrived at my hotel. 24 hours late but compared to the losses suffered by others it is nothing.
It's humid and hot and a beautiful sunset.
Need to go to the shop and get some food before bed
