Alcohol in grocery order

I've read a few comments saying Disney won't accept grocery orders from garden grocer/instacart if it contains alcohol. Can anyone confirm this for me please?

I am afraid it is inconsistent. Plenty of cases where they have done, but also reports where it's been turned away. Also claims it didn't apply to Garden Grocer who at one stage asked for a driving license (not sure if still do that) but people even reporting problems with Garden Grocer. Last time I used Garden Grocer was 2016 and no problems back then but I haven't used them since due to massive mark ups they put on the food compared to Instacart. Last year I didn't want to risk it, so didn't order alcohol and walked across to the Speedway garage at Boardwalk and stocked upon beer there.
If you can definitely be there to meet them then you are OK, otherwise putting alcohol in could be a gamble.
BTW unless you are buying a lot of alcohol, it's still cheaper to use Instacart and worst case buy beer and wine in the onsite shop than using GG. My shopping was around 50% less with Instacart.
Another option is to order all your shopping for before you arrive via Instacart, then say order alcohol for next day in a separate order when you'll be around.

Thanks for that, really helpful. Definitely wasn't planning to use GG unless the booze side of things was different with them.

The option we've got is use a personal shopper like angelbabe who can meet us once we're at the hotel.

Would rather not bother with walking over to the garage plus I imagine their selection is somewhat limited?

I’ve had 2 GG orders which included alcohol in 2016 & 18 with no problems. I’d emailed my passport details which they asked for to do this. I’ve got another order with them for next week so hopefully no issues again? 🤞🏼

Out of interest the wine we have was $9/10 a bottle, which I didn’t think was too bad but to be fair it’s no chateauneuf du pape! 😂

The beer selection in the garage is pretty decent, I posted up some photos July 2019 on here with photos of the walk over- very easy, 5 mins each way from Boardwalk. Edit sorry I mean July 2018.
