onsite dining and parking
Hi, if you book a character breakfast at one of the resort hotels, can you then go into a park, having parked for free at the resort? I have read that there is a 2-3 hr parking restriction but that it isn't enforced? Does anyone know if this is still correct? Many thanks.

Officially you get 3 hours parking. Whether they enforce this or not probably depends on the day, the time, the weather, what star sign the security guard is etc etc.
You can pay for valet parking at the resorts and that lets you park all day. I don't know how much this costs but do know some people use this option. |

you're not supposed to remain parked (unless you valet) while you go to the park
is it enforced ? well ... the real question is : do you want to be the one to find out for yourself that it sometimes is ... when your car is missing at the end of your park day ? lol now, I'll just give it to you from a hotel resident perspective. Last year, we stayed at Polynesian ... came back from a trip to walmart to find the parking lot jammed packed ... had to circle the parking lot 3 times to find a spot ... and finally gave up and used valet at my own hotel (hopefully as a blue disability badge holder I don't pay for t ...) at park closing, the parking lot magically cleared from half the cars in the parking lot So, I'm not lecturing anyone, but ... think of this as some neighbour systematically parking in your own driveway ... |

I have never heard of anyone getting a fine or towed for this, but I would not risk it.

I have seen them towing from the Contemporary. Plus it wasn't just 1 car as that may have been a breakdown. They were towing as we went in at 8.00pm and towing another when we left at 10.00pm.
I was very pleased to see it. We own at SSR and people parking there for Disney Springs is a pain.

I saw stickers on two car windscreens in AKL car park when we were staying there September saying something about 'Overstayed Parking NonGuest' didn't read the rest but assumed it was a similar situation.

Yes it's free but the Congress Park area is nearer to Disney Springs than the garage.
Not much in it I agree but people ram the car park so I struggle to find a space.

DS is still free at the moment but I read on, I think it was the Disney Food Blog, that there is a rumour it may well change to 3 hour free parking & paying after that time because of the amount of people parking up for the day & going to the parks - would be too much bus changing & time consuming to save parking fee for me
