We've done the Winter Park lake tour around three or four times and last time we went we also added Leu Gardens because, until recently, we didn't know they were only around 5 miles apart so easy to do on the same day.

Next time we plan to visit Winter Park we intend to use Sunrail from Poinciana station for a change. It's ridiculously cheap at around $6 for two seniors return.

There's another nice lake/canal boat ride at Mount Dora.

We did the lakes tour in September, we got the (double decker) train up there from the Sand Lake Road station. Really lovely day out.

Think we may have already exchanged posts about trolley tour and parking?

We went to both places in December and agree it makes for a lovely day. Bok Tower gardens are also worth a visit.

We went to st Augustine yesterday and spent some time there but on the way back we stopped at flagler beach and went on the pier.
What a great place that was. Chatted to the anglers and watched the surfers. Even watched a squadron (collective noun) of pelicans fly over in formation
Then drove the coastal road to daytona.

Looks as if a few people are discovering Flagler Beach. We have been going there for the last 10 or so years and love it there. It has some good eateries too.
