Thank you. I have just checked on my past Amazon orders lol, to see if it has this. And low and behold it does have this feature. I doubt she had it switched on though. IK have just messaged her and asked. I totally agree with the karma thing. I would have actually preferred if he didn't respond to the message. He keeps on with this line that it would have happened anyway as his car has loads of scratches too! It's completely lost on him, that it's unacceptable. But thanks for the dashcam tip, she will have it on in future

If she wants to go through insurance just send his details to them and they can sort it.

And the police won’t be the slightest bit interested . There’s no really proof who did it and the are massively over stretched

They have actually come back and told DD not to do this as it will only do against her premiums and have offered more. What's strange is if they are adamant they didn't do it, why the ongoing concern. This is actually making them look more guilty then the initial stuff

Bizarre behaviour. Is their car taxed and MOT’d?

We had someone drive into our parked car whilst I was sat in the passenger seat.
Despite witnesses and fresh damage to both vehicles (his van was dented all over anyway) he point blank denied doing it. It was truly bonkers behaviour. He then attempted to purposely run OH over when we said we were calling the police. OH called his bluff thinking he wouldn’t but was wrong! Contact was made before he had to move.
All videoed but again, he denied that too!
Nuts!
He ended up with a community order and some sort of attempted bodily harm charge (can’t remember exactly)

Some people are very strange indeed.

Omg That is utter madness! I have no idea if their car is taxed and MOT’d. It looks like we got off lightly reading that!

He keeps on sending messages saying x amount is his final offer and he doesn’t recall doing it and he would know if he had etc. But won’t just draw a line under it. We didn’t even know they existed till this happened as we just keep ourselves to ourselves. Likewise, they have loads of scratches on their vehicle too. Very strange people indeed.

You can check if a vehicle is taxed and MOT’d on the dvla website. And askmid will tell you if insured. You can do any car that you know the number plate of.
Does sound very odd. Would defo suspect they had done it as otherwise why would they be offering money.

I was once in a car park, and my car door blew open in the wind, into a ladies car door, leaving a very small dink. Fair play, I inadvertently caused damage and should have had to pay. Thing is I turned round and her whole car door was bent and scraped from a prior (much more serious incident) she was squinting to find this tiny dink, and did find it, but in the midst of huge scratches and dents... she even had to open my car door again to find it, by seeing where it landed😂
I genuinely thought she was joking when she said she wanted it fixing, I was only 21 and I think I laughed as I thought she was having me on, but oh no.
She got a quote to fix it, and the garage said she would need a whole new door, conveniently fixing the prior damage. I queried this and she phoned the police on me, who did ring me and tell me to pay, so that was a very expensive trip to the shops...

What a nasty woman and lets hope karma repaid her. It was absolutely nothing to do with the police but an insurance issue so if it was a genuine copper calling you then he had no authority to tell you to pay for damage you hadn't caused, and you would have been in your rights to tell him to do one.
