Help understanding what's going on with Virgin return flights in September '21.

Hi,

Not understanding what's going on with Virgin return flights in September '21.

Every day I look at flights out of the UK and return 14 days later, I always look the day the return flight becomes available.

For example today you leave LHR on the 27/08 - and return on 9/9 and there are only economy seats left or indirect for the return leg with Delta.

The return dates are only just available today and nearly all gone - what's happening?

The majority could have all been booked by Virgin Holidays perhaps.

I noticed the same for early August and can only guess it's because of people having rearranged this years holidays to next.

Happened again today 28/08 - 10/09, cost direct is 7k in economy light. It's the return jacking up the price.

Far cheaper indirect home, but not so easy with a profoundly autistic child.

System glitch perhaps - its unlikely that all cabins booked at this stage.

Aren’t these release day flights? It’s often the case with Virgin. Give it a few days and they’ll be normal prices.
27/8-9/9 is now normal priced with availability.
