1900 Park Fare...

DD (12 nearly) wants to do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast, before a morning at MK. I've never really thought much about it, so am looking for some reviews! Thanks!

We ate there in September as it was Labor Day weekend and it meant we could Valet park at the GF and then monorail into the MK after breakfast.

The food was OK, it was probably marginally better than some of the other buffet breakfasts and had some good additional options, such as smoked salmon, eggs benedict etc which was a nice change. there was also a candy bar area!

My kids (14 and 4) enjoyed it and the character interaction was good - the Mad Hatter was fun, but our Mary Poppins was not on form, perhaps she wasn't feeling great, very subdued and distracted sadly.

Overall, I would give it 7.5/10 and if you need to drive and valet then it works well with a MK day.

Thank you for this. We're staying at AKL so would bus it to MK and then get the monorail to the GF and back again. My DS (10) wants to do Ohana but have heard so many bad reviews lately, so i'm unsure on that one. Last time we did Crystal Palace and Tusker House, so wanted to do something different. Too much choice lol.

We have eaten at 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace for breakfasts and we preferred 1900 Park Fare. The character interaction seemed better, possibly because the characters spoke and could interact better. Alice and Mad Hatter had a great rapport with each other, and chatted to us for quite a while in total character. I also liked the location as Grand Floridian is such a lovely resort to visit.

I feel all characters buffets are busy and noisy but CP was very busy, much more than 1900 PF. The food was plentiful at both, but 1900 PF had a few extras which were a bit more unusual and good to try, such as strawberry soup (odd but delicious 😀 ), as well as the usual breakfast food

1900 Park Fare is the best quality food for a buffet on property IMO and one of only two I will go to for breakfast. It’s become a last day tradition for us. I’d start at MK on an EMH morning if not eating there on a day off or last day though then go there for the last breakfast seating so as not to waste low queue times in the park. The characters are a bit frenetic but the Mad Hatter is hysterical. The range of food is wide and there is an omelette station which we like. My DD is 16 now but she’s loved this one since she was 5 and still does.

We love 1900 PF and the character interaction was so amazing on our recent trip that I sent in a cast compliment to make sure Alice would get some thanks or recognition for just being stellar. We read Alice a lot in this house and 3 year old DS had lots of questions for her. She stayed with us for ages and never dropped a bit, even when he had the most obscure references that you just wouldn’t imagine from such a tiny kid. She was absolutely amazing.

Pooh was also great and better interaction here than the M&G by his ride. None of the characters were average on our day but those two were above and beyond.

We like this buffet as well. There is so much choice and we had no problems despite three very different sets of eating needs! ;-) Only tiny niggle was there are omelettes cooked to order but that queue was very, very long. Probably just bad timing for us. No matter- we had all sorts of other things and skipped that long wait.

A vote here for 1900 park fare as well! We have done it twice now and loved it both times. Food was always good and we never felt rushed (although normally went for a later breakfast 9.30). One year Tigger wasn't really on form (this was when he was walking round the tables still) but last year they were all fantastic. Our DD favourite is Mary Poppins and this year she told her, she sat with us for quite a while chatting which made my DD holiday.
We are going back in August and are hoping to get another reservation when we go.

A must do for us. Its a buffet so expect food to be of the buffet standard but probably the best character breakfast we have had on site.
