What to do with my wedding dress?

I have been clearing out my late mums house and have come across my wedding dress. I have also been trying to clutter my own home and obviously have kept things that remind me of my lovely parents.
This has meant I have been bringing all sorts back home. I have been as harsh as possible and got rid of loads of items both at mums and at home that I would class as sentimental.
Now to the wedding dress. I have been married nearly 13 years and feel like it is a sentimental item however I have loads of pics of me in it(obviously) I'm 99% sure I will ever fit in it again and it is massive. I'm just not sure I see the point in keeping it but feel a massive guilt in getting rid of something that feels so important. What would you do or have you done with your wedding dress?
Thanks in advance.

I’m afraid I’ve got mine and won’t be getting rid. I’m not sure why, I certainly won’t be forcing my dd to wear it if she doesn’t want to but the resale value was peanuts and I can’t bring myself to throw away £2k of dress. I had it professionally cleaned and boxed and it lives under a spare bed. We have lots of space though so I have no urgent need to declutter it

I still have mine after 21 years. It is in a vacuum bag stored away. I also still have my late mums wedding dress, headdress and veil along with my parents wedding album. It’s over 60 years old and very precious to me.

I have space to store it in the loft if I need to. I guess clearing out my mums has made me realise that I don't want my own kids having to go through the same emotions as I have been going through

My Mum got rid of her wedding dress at some point (i'm not really sure why) It is strange really because I get my sentimental side from her. I can understand why it is precious. At least i'm not being irrational about having a sentimental attachment to mine.

I do still have my dress gathering mothballs in the loft. Not quite sure why I have kept it, it is old fashioned, it is just there ! It is probably fit for nothing but the bin now.

I am not sure if this would interest you but there are a few organisations that accept wedding dresses to make gowns for Angel Babies. Maybe knowing the dress is being given for a bereaved family would make it easier for you to part with the dress.

Mine is only short and more like a dress than a ‘wedding dress’ as we married in Celebration🌞
Mines hanging in my spare room ♥️
I agree though, a full on wedding dress will take up loads of room- maybe time to part with it 😥

When we moved house and had to de clutter I sold mine (80’s full Princess diane style) on eBay, apparently they are popular as Halloween costumes!
