Mobile Tokyo Disney fastpasses

Evening!

We bought our theme park tickets for Shanghai online prior to checking in to the Disneyland hotel which made us ineligible for fastpasses, they said we would have need to have purchased the tickets at the hotel. Does anyone know of this is the same for Tokyo?

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean the early access ("Happy 15" in Japan) rather than Fastpass? We were given these tickets when we checked in to the hotel with no mention of park tickets. (Although FWIW we found no benefit in buying park tickets in advance, so bought them from the hotel concierge. From memory, I think you cannot get park hopping privileges - from your third day onwards - unless you buy the tickets there.)

For non-Japanese residents Fastpasses are still obtained at the machines. Japanese residents can use the app to book them, but as far as I know where you purchase your tickets does not affect your entitlement to Fastpass.
