Premier inn... impressed with customer service

I was due to stay in a PI at beginning of April, which I booked at a cheap rate, non refundable. I came to the U.K. early and didn’t even consider a refund as I know that T&Cs when I booked.

Received an email today offering me a change of dates or a refund, whilst it was only £35, they didn’t have to do this and have, by doing so, secured my business in the future.

Yeah, I had booked a night before our trip in May and had written it off, but got an email today saying the same 😁

I got an email this evening too. Very impressed as I wasn’t expecting to get my money back. If only Virgin Holidays were as generous...

Yes, I just got mine too. I almost don't want to cancel as it really hits home that the holiday's not happening. 🙄

Wish they had done the same for me when Monarch went bust, I had 5 rooms booked family holiday, wouldn’t refund or even give a credit not .

We were due to travel to London on 30/3 - we were staying for 3 nights and see 2 shows !
So far -
Premier inn (non flex) - full refund
Both show - full refund
GWR (Advance) - No chance of a refund but can amend - I don’t want to amend ! Arrrrghhhh

Premier Inn deserve praise for how they’ve handled bookings and I’m sure they’ll have a lot of repeat business when this is all over - Hotels.com however absolutely awful to deal with - lesson learnt.

Premier inn originally not giving refunds but were only going to let you rebook a ‘like for like’ stay for a maximum of 270 days from your original booking.
They have now bowed to pressure and the threat of people never booking with them again by offering full refunds.
