Who's had their garden landscaped?
So who's had a nice landscape job on their garden? Pictures would be great! And if you dont mind saying how much you paid to have it done? Especially interested in ones with a mix of decking or patio and artificial grass.
I need inspiration and possibly a reality check as far as price goes! Our house came with the garden in a state, half of it is covered in black plastic where they intended to put decking down but never did. |

We had a large patio last year. Was getting the turf down this Spring and then Covid.
Patios can be expensive. Depends on what material you choose. Ours was £9k but a lot of digging down to level and then build seating. I'll pop out and take a picture..one sec... Edit to add photos: Edited at 07:41 PM. |

We’re also doing ours DIY. Moved here at the end of last year and with lockdown have been able to get on with it quickly.
We did most of our previous houses ourselves too. This one’s been easiest as it’s very small compared to our last 2 houses.

We’ve had ours done. We bought a new build that was just a huge slope of mud! We’ve had patio laid, sleepers and a top area for table and chairs and all in all it’s cost us about £7k (midlands). Not a great picture...

3 years ago - got fed up with soggy lawn, huge bushes that took up space and a multi-year fight against a persostent mole 😃. We have put stone down in the whole garden. Love it - boys play football, it dries up really quickly after rain, when sun is out it heats the stones and it get holiday-like hot. Cost 25k including VAT.

Not yet. We have a fire pit and a large BBQ but after reading the threads on pizza ovens we're looking to get one too 🤣
When we bought the house we put down basic flags, grass and fences (new build so only mud and no fences) so the kids could learn to walk and ride their bikes somewhere flat but this time wanted something different. Whatever you do ensure its big enough. We marked ours out using a washing line and chalk. We wanted enough room to walk around each other when we're sat down or to get the bins out without having to rearrange furniture. For the garden I'd just turf it all for now and plant your borders gradually. We made the mistake of our borders only being about 18in wide so all our bushes are too close to the fence now they've mstured. I thought I wanted lots of grass turns out bigger borders would have been easier. |
