BA cancelled flight today 6th August

BA cancelled our flight today, we were due to travel from Gatwick on the 6th to Orlando for 3 weeks . I knew we probably were not going but still kind of a sad day 😔

Sadly quite a few have been cancelled today, including mine for 29th August. There's another thread capturing cancellation info in current issues if people are interested.

We already knew we weren't going and this is the last bit of our hol to go!

OP I know what you mean. Our 2/8 LGW/MCO flight was cancelled today. We already lost Easter this year and now August is gone too. I know in my head that now is not the time to be travelling to Florida where cases are rising again, but my heart is also a little sad.
We are lucky though in that we now have certainty and we are healthy.

We were due to go on 6th for 3 weeks too. I�d already cancelled everything else so relieved to get the email but still sad that nearly 2 years of planning is no more. Nearly time to start the 2022 planning though

Looks like we are the same dates, but we were flying with Virgin. Sad that it now has a line drawn under it. I was kind of hoping that we might cancel this trip but sneak in a quick 10 nights to Universal at the end of August as the flight and hotel prices looked pretty good, but dont think that will happen either. Still let the planning for 2022 commence 😀😂 We will re think how we spend our time , especially as DS will be a teenager by then, and his tastes may have changed from looking forward to stuff and everything is magical, to 'Oh my god, stop asking me to do stuff, it's so unfair and dont you dare wear Mickey ears, everyone is looking at you'🤣

Definitely looking forward to returning whenever it may be 2021 or 2022 , will work that out another day ! Looking at Wells Beach in Norfolk this year fingers crossed for some good weather .

I can see most flights being cancelled to Orlando in 2020. I think BA flying from Heathrow may return before the end of the year but flights from other airports seem very unlikely.

Us too, had our return flight cancel yesterday (30th) and called today to cancel and refund. We were on the 1.25pm flight on 6th August LGW-MCO

I'm quite relieved tbh, just hoping Airbnb and Klook will now refund in full.

I'm not sure next year will be for us either, as we wanted to stay in Disney for a week with the dining plan and its looking like thats not going to be offered, plus the possibility of still having all the restrictions - so 2022 may be our next visit
