Tokyo May 2021 - am I mad?

Thinking of going May next year - using Virgin airmiles with ANA again.

Am I mad? Too optimistic ?

Opinions please :-)

I don’t think you’re mad, I’d go 😁 but then I have booked a holiday to India for January and one to Mauritius for March so I’m probably even madder 😂

I’m booked to go in October but with the 14 day quarantine when you arrive in Japan, it wouldn’t be worth it. I can only hope it’s lifted by then otherwise hope that my insurance will refund my flights. Hotels are booked on free cancellation so that’s not a problem.
Fingers crossed!

I’ve booked for 8 nights in March next year and am hopeful we will get to go and there’s no quarantine! My hotel rate is fully refundable, and my flights are booked on Avios points so also refundable.

I’m planning on May next year as well. Not booking anything just yet (hotel prices on booking.com are laughable right now! ) but if I can get into Japan without quarantine etc.. I’ll be there 😊

After reading TDR Explorer’s latest article, we are postponing our November trip for a year.

Heartbreaking but ... more time to save up = onsite Disney hotel!

If you can find availability I'd say go for it - that's what we're doing. In the worst case scenario we can cancel for £30.
