Universal announce yesterday that not only is the construction of the new park on hold for the duration of the epidemic but will also be put into hiatus indefinitely until the economy fully recovers.
We all knew there would be casualties but this one is a bummer.

Fingers crossed it�s just a postponement and not cancelled permanently.

I personally think this park would be the best in Orlando and would have taken Universal to another level.

I would be surprised if it did get cancelled. The press conference behind the announcement was a pretty big deal. I guess it will just be delayed for a while

I am sad but not wholly surprised. Major investment which would have taken such a long time to pay off.

Presumably there is more than a lonesome pine there now. Mothballs?
