Dec 2020, can i change my holiday?
Please excuse me if i sound stupid, but i was wondering if anyone could help. I understand totally that i would need to call various companies so Im not asking for facts (unless there are any).
We have a holiday booked for 5th to 19th December 2020 staying in Universal Hard Rock Hotel for the first week and then Yacht Club at Disney (both booked through Attraction Tickets Direct) with theme park tickets for the full 2 weeks. BA flights were booked direct, not with ATD. I know we went know until nearer the time, if we will be able to fly but my dilemma is, I DONT want to fly and would rather move the whole holiday to the same time next year. I totally get that unless the flights are cancelled by BA, we don't have any right to claim a refund and the same with the hotels and theme park tickets. Would it be feasible to change the whole holiday? Do you think we will have any issues and any ideas of fees involved? I really appreciate any help as there are 4 adults going and its cost such a lot, my sister-in-law wants to go this year but 3 of us don't. To be honest, Im quite scared to be flying and mixing in restaurants and hotels with others right now (I do suffer with some anxiety). Thanks everyone :-) xx |

At the moment I don’t think BA are changing anything past the end of July. They won’t let you move unless the flight won’t be going ahead.
You will need to wait until nearer the time I think, To see if the travel restrictions are still in place (personally I hope flights are going again by September!) I know my friends son tried to move his September booking as it’s for his honeymoon and the wedding has now been moved until next year and BA said no they won’t Even change the dates to next year. |

If you booked the flights since March 3rd, you can make the change online under manage my booking. Although if you want to go the same time next year, I assume the new flight have not been released yet. In this case you could request a voucher. I don’t know why there is any relevance to March 3rd, but that is what it says.
Disney and Universal hotels should be easily moved, but you would have to deal with Attractions Direct for that and I have no idea how helpful they are being generally. Edited at 03:52 PM. |

Thank you both for your help, I booked and paid in full for the flights in February (i think) as they were pretty good prices. I did think we would have issues moving the flight but thought the hotels would be easier... of course, without the flight being moved we couldn't do it.
I guess, we may have to wait until nearer the time but unless we have a second wave (praying we definitely don't) then i can only believe we will be able to go in December. |
