I hate fireworks!

This might help tomorrow and Saturday.Classic fm radio from 6pm -10pm have music specific for pets designed by an animal therapy doctor due to the firework.

My two dogs have always been fine with them thankfully but I have a couple of friends whose dogs are absolutely terrified. It’s so sad to see and horrible for the dogs. I personally would happily see fireworks completely banned. I know some people enjoy them but really, would it affect their lives so badly not to have them any more? I would happily give up something so frivolous if I knew it was causing such misery to animals and people with PTSD.

Madness. They started weeks before bonfire night, its ridiculous. Our little dog ran in and knocked over the Christmas Tree!

She’s asleep on my bed, but I’ve got to listen to music very loudly to drown out the noise. Three little bird bob Marley atm

Tink has been fine with them until now, but seems to be getting more afraid of them.

She hid in the utility room where both the washing machine and tumble drier were on so I put her bed in there. I think the noise helped drown out the bangs.

My little Westie is also in extreme distress tonight due to the fireworks. She’s shaking, sweating and has thrown up a few times. I’ve literally had to just carry her around because she’s rigidly glued to me (and I had my booster yesterday so arms sore)
Absolutely hate the flipping things I just don’t get the point of them!
Hope they’re short lived tonight and everyone’s pets can get some respite 😢

Last year my cat wasn’t fussed, he was fast asleep and I was the one sat there jumping at the really loud ones close by! I have anxiety and I am really jumpy with loud noises, but I’m human and I know what the noise is, animals don’t understand, it’s a shame.

I think they should stick to organised events on two nights of the year.

I always wonder how the dogs that live near Disney manage? I suppose they just get used to it. My grandparents had to have a dog put down during the war because the sound of the air aid sirens drove him demented. They then got a "born in the war" dog who happily lived through the blitz.
